DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFICATIONS

Moton 2-Way Clubsport Coilovers for R35 Nissan GT-R

Moton’s 2-Way Clubsport Coilovers for R35 Nissan GT-R are the Clubsport damper MOTON builds for the R35 GT-R, adjustable for rebound and for compression on a remote reservoir, with springs supplied. Nissan fitted the R35 with Bilstein DampTronic adjustable dampers from the start, and this MOTON set replaces them with hand-adjusted 2-way units. Because compression and rebound are separate, the R35 GT-R can be softened over kerbs or firmed for fast corners without changing how it settles. It is aimed at an R35 GT-R that goes on track regularly and is tuned circuit by circuit.

Design and Performance

  • Separating compression from rebound lets a driver change how the R35 GT-R takes a kerb or loads its outside tire without changing how it recovers. A road car with two track days a year will not use it, and the Moton 1-Way Coilovers cover that brief for less; separate high-speed and low-speed compression is the job of the Moton 3-Way Motorsport Coilovers.

Features

  • Non-inverted monotube dampers, adjustable for rebound and compression
  • Compression adjuster on an external remote reservoir
  • Threaded ride height at all four corners
  • True coilover layout front and rear
  • Elevated top guide with helper piston
  • Fully rebuildable, 24-month AST x MOTON warranty

What’s Included

  • Front coilovers with remote reservoirs (L/R)
  • Rear coilovers with remote reservoirs (L/R)
  • Front and rear springs

Applications

  • Nissan GT-R: R35 | 2007-present

Notes

  • The Moton 2-Way Clubsport Coilovers for R35 fit the R35 GT-R from 2007 onward; earlier Skyline GT-Rs take separate MOTON kits
  • The factory DampTronic system has to be cancelled with a third-party kit or coded out; we carry the KW ESC Module for the R35 GT-R
  • Route reservoir hoses clear of moving parts and secure them at the banjo
  • Keep at least 5 mm between wheel and damper; some factory wheels need a spacer
  • Kits are built to order in the Netherlands; lead time is confirmed at order
  • Images show representative MOTON kits

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Which Nissan GT-R models do the Moton 2-Way Clubsport Coilovers for R35 fit? MOTON lists the Moton 2-Way Clubsport Coilovers for R35 for the Nissan GT-R (R35, 2007 onward). Each Clubsport set is built to order in the Netherlands for that fitment, so confirm the exact model, year and any previous suspension changes with us before ordering.
  • How does the 2-Way Clubsport kit compare with the other MOTON kits for the R35 GT-R? The 2-Way Clubsport adjusts rebound on the damper and compression on a remote reservoir, so the two can be tuned independently on the R35 GT-R. Against the 1-Way it adds that compression adjuster and the extra oil volume of the reservoir. Against the 3-Way Motorsport it keeps compression as one circuit rather than two, which makes it quicker to set up. It is the kit for an R35 GT-R that tracks regularly.
  • Does the kit fit every R35 model year? MOTON lists one part number for the R35 GT-R from 2007 onward, which takes in the base, Track Edition and NISMO cars. Suspension hardware changed in detail over the run, so send us the VIN and model year before ordering and we will confirm the fitment with MOTON.
  • What comes in the box? Four non-inverted monotube coilovers with springs, each with a rebound adjuster and a reservoir-mounted compression adjuster, built to order for the R35 GT-R. Wheel spacers, any electronic damper cancellation and the alignment are not included, and the kit ships without spring preload set.
  • What do the remote reservoirs do on the R35 GT-R kit? Each damper in the R35 GT-R kit is connected by hose to an external reservoir that holds extra oil and the gas charge and carries the compression adjuster. The added volume helps the damper stay consistent as it heats up over a long session, and it puts the adjuster where it is easy to reach.

About Moton

MOTON Suspension Technology was founded in the Netherlands in 1999, and by June 2000 around 30 percent of the cars at the 24 Hours of Le Mans ran its dampers. MOTON has since won in the FIA GT and FIA Sportscar championships, the ETCC and WTCC, Grand-Am and World Challenge. AST Suspension acquired the brand in 2011, and every MOTON damper is now developed, tested and built by the AST x MOTON team in the Netherlands, part of the Roosen Industries group since 2016.

Items that are in stock in the US, either at Bulletproof’s warehouse or at a supplier’s warehouse, are generally delivered within 7-10 days. Special order items from overseas take considerably longer. As a courtesy Bulletproof offers delivery estimates to our customers which take into consideration manufacturer availability and shipping schedule. These estimates represent our best guess based on previous orders from the manufacturer and do not in any way imply a guaranteed delivery window. Many manufacturers work in a “just in time” inventory system and often take 2-20+ weeks to produce an item once an order is submitted. All deliverable items are then sent to our Japanese warehouse. Bulletproof ships a minimum of one full ocean freight container every month from Japan, oftentimes more than one a month. Ocean freight takes an average of 4 weeks. Typically it breaks down to one week in Japan for paperwork and customs, two weeks by boat and one week in US customs/clearance. Due to the wide number of variables between manufacturer and shipping schedules, delivery estimates are simply just that – estimates. We attempt to estimate conservatively and we usually deliver faster than our estimates suggest. It is not Bulletproof’s policy to guarantee delivery time of any special order item, this is impossible for us to do. By ordering you acknowledge that there is no required delivery ETA and an order may not be canceled or altered due to manufacturing or shipping delays, all ETA’s are provided as a best guess only.
