The Alpha R35 GT-R Carbon Fiber Cold Air Intake by AMS Performance was specifically engineered to enhance the airflow to the stock turbochargers by drawing a greater volume of cool air. Additionally, it improves the metering capability of the factory Mass Airflow (MAF) sensors. This intake system replaces the bulky air filter boxes with high flow dry media filters and carbon fiber tubing, resulting in a clutter-free engine bay and the intake of cooler external air. By increasing the cross-sectional area of the tubing, the factory MAF sensors can accurately measure airflow even beyond 1000HP, making it a significant upgrade over the stock intake system.

Unlike alternative options available in the market that employ gloss clear coated carbon fiber, which is susceptible to discoloration and cracking, AMS’s Alpha Intakes are crafted using a 3-layer construction of 1mm twill weave prepreg carbon fiber. This advanced carbon fiber material can endure temperatures up to 240°C without compromising structural integrity or aesthetic appeal. For Use With All Stock 2 Bolt Compressor Housings
- Initially developed as a perfect companion to their Alpha 7 Performance Package, which optimizes the performance of the original Nissan GTR turbos, this intake system is also fully compatible with power levels exceeding 1000HP! The included couplers are designed to seamlessly fit with both the factory turbo inlet pipes (for models up to 2011 and the larger 2012+ versions) and various aftermarket inlets that utilize the stock 2 bolt compressor/turbo inlet suction pipe configuration.

ECU Tuning Required
- Due to the deviation in pipe size, the factory MAF sensor calibration is offset, necessitating an aftermarket ECU calibration for proper functionality. While AMS highly recommend using the Cobb AccessPort for this purpose, it’s important to note that the intake is compatible with all other ECU calibration solutions available in the market as well.

Notes
- Given that this intake system is meticulously hand-laid and crafted from high-temperature motorsports-grade carbon fiber, it is expected to exhibit minor imperfections in the carbon weave and finish. It’s important to note that these imperfections are inherent to the manufacturing process and differ from the conventional high-gloss wet carbon pieces that undergo a clear coat application as a post-process. As each pipe is individually handmade, no two will possess identical characteristics or appearances.

CARB / EPA COMPLIANCE TESTING NOT COMPLETED
- While AMS believes this product is either CARB EO exemption applicable, or complies with the EPA’s Anti-Tampering Policy, they have not completed the required testing and administrative process at this time. This product is not available to purchase for emissions-controlled vehicles located within the state of California, or available to ship to California addresses, without a completed AMS Race Waiver form. International users outside of the United States should act in accordance with their local laws and regulations.
