  • AMS devoted meticulous effort to developing the initial Alpha Performance R35 GT-R Carbon Fiber Intake Manifold, aiming to achieve optimal efficiency and power output. Building upon its success, AMS has introduced a new enhancement that enables the integration of 18 Injector Dynamics injectors (injectors not included) into the same acclaimed design.   • In contrast to many aftermarket manifolds that primarily offer performance gains at higher RPMs while sacrificing low-end power, the Alpha GT-R Carbon Fiber manifold delivers exceptional performance across the entire power band. When compared to the leading cast aluminum intake manifold available, AMS’ masterpiece not only generates greater horsepower and torque, but does so consistently throughout the entire range. From the moment your turbos start to spool up, the Alpha intake manifold begins producing increased power and torque, ensuring an enhanced driving experience at all engine speeds. The best part is that this improved performance does not come at the expense of response or power delivery, resulting in a smooth and uninterrupted power curve.

Larger, Perfectly Molded Carbon Fiber Plenums

  • The efficient functioning of the plenum is crucial for optimizing the performance of any intake manifold. In the case of the GT-R, the presence of two plenums, one for each engine bank, adds to its capabilities. Not only are these plenums appropriately sized to ensure the correct volume, but they also offer additional advantages when designed in a way that evenly distributes the charged air among the precisely machined CNC aluminum velocity stacks leading into the runners. Crafted from lightweight carbon fiber, these plenums are carefully molded and tapered to effectively channel the charged air, resulting in reduced turbulence and expedited delivery to the engine. This meticulous design promotes a balanced and continuous airflow, enhancing the GT-R’s horsepower output by maintaining optimal airflow velocity and pressure as required.

The Difference Is In The Details

  • To ensure optimal airflow from the throttle body to the cylinder heads, each manifold is precisely matched to its upper and lower running sections. The engineers meticulously designed the manifold with tight tolerances where the upper and lower sections come together. However, they went beyond that to achieve perfect alignment of the upper and lower ports. By installing dowel locating pins, they eliminated any steps or protrusions that could potentially disrupt the airflow and create turbulence, a common issue found in other aftermarket manifolds. This attention to detail guarantees smooth and efficient airflow throughout the entire intake system.

Rigorously Tested To Last

  • In their pursuit of creating an intake manifold with exceptional strength and reliability, AMS collaborated with an expert in the field. Employing aircraft-grade epoxies and carbon fiber layering techniques, they constructed a manifold that matches the strength tolerances of key aerospace components. To ensure its durability, the finalized design underwent a rigorous cycle testing, with 144,000 repetitions performed in a high heat environment at pressures ranging from 0 to 50psi. This testing regimen was designed to simulate over 20 years of operation by the average GT-R owner. Furthermore, a burst test was conducted, subjecting the test manifold to over 150psi. These grueling tests set the AMS manifold apart from others on the market, demonstrating its unmatched strength and durability.

Third Fuel Rail Engineered To Support Incredible Power

  • To accommodate extremely high-powered GT-Rs, the manifold is equipped with provisions and an additional Alpha fuel rail. This setup ensures an ample fuel supply to feed the VR38 engine capable of producing over 2000+ horsepower. The precise positioning of fuel injectors is crucial, as it enhances fuel atomization and efficiency by optimizing the spray angle. Keeping these factors in mind, our engineers meticulously designed a third rail setup that supports a total of 18 individual injectors.

  • Custom PCV routing would be needed if the owner wishes to retain its functionality.
  • Alpha upper intercooler pipe adapter for current Alpha intercooler piping or full Alpha Induction Kit is required.
  • Injectors, injector wiring, and fuel lines are not included and must be custom designed and built.
  • While other fuel rail kits may work (stock rails are not compatible), AMS can only guarantee AMS Fuel Rails to be compatible with this intake manifold.
  • Custom color anodizing can extend build time.
  • As these motorsports grade carbon fiber parts are hand laid, slight imperfections or weave pattern variances can be expected.

CARB / EPA COMPLIANCE TESTING NOT COMPLETED

  • While AMS believes this product is either CARB EO exemption applicable, or complies with the EPA’s Anti-Tampering Policy, they have not completed the required testing and administrative process at this time. This product is not available to purchase for emissions-controlled vehicles located within the state of California, or available to ship to California addresses, without a completed AMS Race Waiver form. International users outside of the United States should act in accordance with their local laws and regulations.
